Holiday Mini-Camps


Our Winter Specific Summer Camps provide campers with a fun-packed, enjoyable environment where they can increase their athleticism and develop a wider range of skills. Velocity Sports Performance is looking for boys and girls ages 8-Adult who are dedicated to making themselves better as athletes. Our state-of-the-art facility, experienced staff, and proven Velocity program will enhance confidence and individual sport related skills. Velocity’s goal is to increase sport specific athletic ability through the fundamentals of speed, power, and agility.

Soccer Holiday Camp

What is the different between you and David Beckham, about a million touches on the ball. The Velocity Winter Camp will cover 5 topic areas of fundamental skills that are needed to become a complete player; Toe Taps, Dribbling, Foundation, Juggling, Change of Pace and Speed. Our goal is  to provide the tools and motivation to help improve each campers technical ability. Bottom-line … we want the athletes to touch the ball as much as they can. At the end of the camp, each soccer player will walk way with a training road map that with a little bit of work and dedication, can control the ball like a pro!

  • Ages 7-10: Monday, Dec 19th – Friday, Dec 23rd (2-4pm)
  • Ages 10-12: Monday, Dec 26th - Friday, Dec 30th (2-4pm)

Baseball Holiday Camp

This camp is designed with the baseball athlete in mind. We will focus on baseball specific movement patterns. We will also incorporate strength exercises designed to improve the baseball players game. The combination of movement and strength will maximize results, and help the athlete realize their full potential.

  • Monday, Dec 19th – Friday, Dec 23rd (9am-11am) Group 1: Ages 7-10 & Group 2: Ages  11-13
  • Monday, Dec 26th - Friday, Dec 30th (9am-11am) Group 1: Ages 7-10 & Group 2: Ages 11-13

Football Holiday Camp

We at velocity are conducting a Football Winter Camp for all age to attend our off season camp. We will began the off season training by education and fundamentals, we will focus on teamwork, self confidence, motivation, and over all FUN. This camp will bring over all team base knowledge to your player and the players around them. This will allow campers to utilize speed, power, and agility training to enhance their performance on the football field. This camp is not position specific with the emphasis placed on movement efficiency. A typical camp day will consist of one half of the time spent on offensive positions and the second half of the day spent on defensive specific positions. The final 15 minutes will be spent in a fun competitive one on one environment.

  • Ages 8-11: Monday, Dec 19th – Friday, Dec 23rd (12pm-2pm)
  • Ages 12-15: Monday, Dec 26th - Friday, Dec 30th (12pm-2pm)

Strength Holiday Camp

All movement is created by muscles; therefore strong muscles are the foundation of movement and strength training should be the foundation of any athletic development program. Besides increasing strength and power, proper strength training will also decrease risk of injury, increase speed and quickness and increase balance and mobility. However you don’t these benefits by doing bicep curls in front of the mirror. In this camp you will learn how to strength train in a way that translates to power and performance on the field. This camp will have two upper body days and two lower body days. One day will focus on maximal strength development and the other day will focus developing force rapidly.

Monday – Max Effort Upper Body, Tuesday – Dynamic Lower Body, Wednesday – Recovery, Thursday – Dynamic Upper Body & Friday – Max Effort Lower Body
  • Ages 15-18:  Monday, Dec 19th – Friday, Dec 23rd (9pm-10:30am)
  • Ages 15-18:  Monday, Dec 26th - Friday, Dec 30th (9pm-10:30am)

Intro to Olympic Weight Lifting for Adults

Olympic weightlifting requires strength, power, balance, mobility/flexibility and coordination and trains all of those qualities simultaneously! Whether you are an athlete who wants to increase your performance or just someone who’s looking for a new way to strength train and stay in shape Olympic weightlifting is a great way to achieve your fitness of performance goals. This camp will be taught by Ben Servais who is certified as an Olympic weightlifting coach through USA Weightlifting.

Monday – Snatch, Tuesday – Clean, Wednesday – Recovery techniques, Thursday – Jerk, Friday – Olympic Squat variations and Power Assistance Exercises

Basketball Holiday Camp

The Velocity Basketball Camp teaches you how to be a well-rounded, team oriented basketball player. The sessions offer intense, specialized instruction with an emphasis on the fundamentals of basketball including offensive and defensive footwork, dribbling, shooting, passing, rebounding, and more. The Velocity Basketball Camp also provides a unique opportunity to combine basketball skills with speed and agility training, while all other basketball camps in the area only focus on skill development which does not result in a complete athlete. Many players dream about earning college scholarships and someday playing in the NBA, but most do not understand the type of commitment that is needed to attain dreams of this magnitude. This camp is designed to teach players how to work with intensity and intelligence to become the best player they possibly can, while providing a rewarding and enjoyable experience for campers of all ability levels. Fundamental instruction, individual competition and team competition will be part of the camp activities and will be led by experienced specialty coaches. Each camper will receive a camp t-shirt with a full week completion of the camp.  Join us this summer and be part of the Velocity tradition of improving athletes.
