Sports Performance Coach
Biography:
Cameron comes to Velocity Sports Performance from San Francisco State University where he graduated in 2008 and earned a B.S. degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Human Movement and Exercise Science. During his last semester, Cameron had an extensive internship at John Muir Hospital in the Cardiac Rehab Department working with Exercise Physiologists. During school and after graduating, for 3 ½ years Cameron worked as a Physical Therapy Aide helping patients with acute and chronic pain.
Without having a Men’s Track & Field team at SF State, Cameron developed a club track team and competed as a sprinter (100m, 200m, 400m, 4x100m relay, and 4x400m relay) for 3 years while attending school. Before transferring to SF State, Cameron attended Diablo Valley College and competed as a sprinter for the Track & Field team. After winning the Golden Guts Award for the team, Cameron decided that his goal is to run track for as long as possible and hopefully being able to run in the Masters of all age groups. Cameron also played on a club soccer team while in college and is still currently playing.
Cameron attended Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, Ca. He played 3 years of Varsity Soccer, 1 year of JV Soccer, 4 years of Varsity Track & Field, and 1 year of Varsity Football (winning 2nd Team All-League). High School sports helped him develop the ability to work hard in sports for college competition and better my knowledge in the classroom with the intentions of having a career in the field Health Fitness
Cameron currently holds a certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED through American Red Cross. He is also currently studying to sit for the National Strength and Conditioning Association C.S.C.S exam.
