<p><strong>The Star: </strong>The play of Cal&#8217;s defensive line wreaked havoc all game.</p>
<p><strong>The Turning Point:</strong> Cal cornerback Matt Deans intercepted a pass in the end zone just before the half to preserve a 10-0 lead and the Grizzlies scored touchdowns on their first two possessions of the second half to pull away.</p>
<p><strong>What&#8217;s Next?</strong> The Grizzlies will take on top-seeded De La Salle in the North Coast Section Division I championship on Saturday at 4 p.m.﻿</p>
<p><strong>The Quote:</strong> &#8220;We now have a great opportunity to make our mark in history. We&#8217;re not looking at advancing to the state bowl game, we&#8217;re looking at beating De La Salle.&#8221; — Cal quarterback Drew Reil.</p>
<p><strong>Bottom Line:</strong> The Grizzlies set a school record with 12 wins, breaking the mark set by the 2007 team which won 11 games before losing to De La Salle in the NCS finals.</p>
<p><strong>State Bowl Game Potential: </strong>The Grizzlies came into the game ranked No. 2 in the <a rel="nofollow" href="http://rise.espn.go.com/football/articles/2010/California/12/01-CIF-State-Bowl-Game-Rankings.aspx">Cal-Hi Sports Northern California Division I bowl rankings</a> — behind De la Salle. A win against the Spartans would likely send the Grizzlies to the Division I state bowl game in Carson on Dec. 17 or possibly the Open Division game on Dec. 18.</p>

<p>Regardless of what happens next week in the North Coast Section Division I championship game against De La Salle, this year&#8217;s ﻿<a rel="nofollow" href="http://sanramon.patch.com/listings/california-high-school">California High﻿</a> football team will go down as the best in school history.</p>
<p>Over the course of the season, the Grizzlies showed the ability to dominate in every phase of the game, but Saturday night&#8217;s 24-7 win against San Ramon Valley in the NCS semifinals was all about defense.</p>
<p>Cal coach Eric Billeci talked during the week about the Grizzlies&#8217; intentions to make the Wolves one dimensional.</p>
<p>Mission accomplished.</p>
<p>Cal limited San Ramon to 15 yards rushing — at a point in the fourth quarter, the Wolves had run for minus-two yards — and made life difficult for Wolves&#8217; quarterback Zach Kline all night. The Grizzlies sacked the Cal-bound junior seven times and picked off two passes, while allowing 130 yards passing.</p>
<p>&#8220;We did a good job stopping the run and our guys just pinned their ears back and went after (Kline),&#8221; Billeci said.</p>
<p>Offensively, Cal (12-1) made it clear early it wanted to pound the ball on the ground and use its mammoth offensive line to wear the Wolves (7-6) down. After forcing San Ramon to punt on the game&#8217;s opening drive, the Grizzlies started with 10-straight rushing plays before an incompletion on third-and-six from the SRV 10. Guillermo Rivas&#8217;s 27-yard field goal attempt was true and the tone was set.</p>
<p>An interception from Kevin Ezaburio two plays into San Ramon&#8217;s ensuing drive got the ball right back for Cal, which kept it on the ground the next four plays before stalling again inside the 10.</p>
<p>They lined up for another chip-shot field goal, but Jerrell Dunn was tossed the ball on a fake and he went to the pylon for a six-yard touchdown and a 10-0 with 26 seconds left in the first quarter.</p>
<p>A long interception return by Michael Summers gave the Wolves the ball at the Cal 31 late in the first half, but Matt Deans came up with an interception in the end zone to preserve the 10-0 lead going into the half.</p>
<p>&#8220;We did want to run the ball, but nothing was hitting in the first half,&#8221; Billeci said. &#8220;We made some adjustments at halftime and played well in the second half.&#8221;</p>
<p>A 58-yard kickoff return by John Sarmenta gave the Grizzlies the ball at the SRV 33-yard line to start the second half and five plays later Kyle Alvarez scored from eight yards out to put Cal up 17-0.</p>
<p>After San Ramon punted, the Grizzlies put the game on ice with an 11-play, 68-yard touchdown drive capped by a six-yard touchdown run by Alvarez. The Grizzlies went to the air just twice on the drive, with the only completion being a two-yard play from quarterback Drew Reil to Armani Washington. The Grizzlies went to their &#8216;jumbo&#8217; package for a fourth-and-one play at the SRV 42 and Alvarez went seven yards up the gut to prolong the drive.</p>
<p>Up 24-0 with 1:33 left in the third and its defense playing lights out, Cal ticket to the Oakland Coliseum was all but punched.</p>
<p>&#8220;They are physical and punched us in the mouth,&#8221; San Ramon Valley coach Mark Kessler said. &#8220;We didn&#8217;t have an answer.&#8221;</p>
<p>The Grizzlies will get a rematch of their <a rel="nofollow" href="http://sanramon.patch.com/articles/football-de-la-salle-holds-off-cals-second-half-charge">regular-season finale</a> with top-seeded De La Salle (13-0) on Saturday at 4 p.m., at the Oakland Coliseum.</p>
<p>&#8220;The two best teams in the East Bay will be playing,&#8221; Kessler said. &#8220;De La Salle and Cal, you have to tip your hats to them, they are the teams that should be there.&#8221;</p>
<p>Cal quarterback Drew Reil said the Grizzlies have good reason to be confident going into the championship game.</p>
<p>&#8220;Last game we came out timid,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Then in the second half we played our game and it was close. If we can come out and play for four quarters like we played in the second half last time, it&#8217;s going to be close.&#8221;</p>
<p>A win for either team will likely result in a trip to a state bowl game in Carson the following week, but for the Grizzlies, De La Salle is the ultimate prize.</p>
<p>&#8220;We now have a great opportunity to make our mark in history,&#8221; Reil said. &#8220;We&#8217;re not looking at advancing to the state bowl game, we&#8217;re looking at beating De La Salle.&#8221;</p>
<p>With the win against San Ramon, Cal broke the school record for wins in a season, besting the 2007 team, which went 11-1 before losing to De La Salle at the Coliseum.</p>
<p>Billieci has fond memories of playing at the Oakland Coliseum for De La Salle. He was apart of the 1995 and 1996 NCS championship squads.</p>
<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s one of those nights I&#8217;ll remember forever,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Whenever I drive by there, I still think about those games.&#8221;</p>
<p>Alvarez ran for a team-high 61 yards on 15 carries for Cal, which got some nice carries from Brian Krause (5 for 57), Dunn (6 for 31) and Washington (4 for 23).</p>

<div>Deep   Tissue focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective   tissues.  It is specially helpful for chronic muscle tension and   extremely contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and   sore shoulders.  Some of the same strokes as swedish massage are used,   however this style includes deep compression with slower movement and   deeper pressure concentrating on areas of tension and pain.</div>

However, because our Pros typically have less time to train, we often mix in some &#8220;privates&#8221;, one-on-one training sessions with one of our Performance Coaches. This enables the athlete to address their specific needs in a very time efficient manner.</p>
<p>We&#8217;ve also seen this approach be extremely effective with our Developmental athletes (high school and middle school). By mixing in one-on-one training sessions with group training, we often see accelerated gains by the athlete. Whether the area of focus is speed mechanics, strength &amp; power or rehab, we have coaches who can help. All of the advanced testing, video analysis and speed training tools we use for our Pros are at your disposal.</p>

<p><strong>Athlete Specific</strong>: Get the specific athletic development for your sport needs, but in a one-on-one environment where you can be pushed to perform your best in a program tailored just to you.<br />

<p><strong>Speed:</strong> We will get in-depth with the specific speed and agility training for you and your sport.<br />
Strength &amp; Power: Get focused on increasing your strength &amp; power for sports to improve your jump, speed, build muscle if needed and improve your overall game.</p>
<p><strong>Rehab / Prehab:</strong> We help the athlete to return to play faster and in better shape and you can do the same. As a bridge between traditional therapy and high performance, we understand injury and know how to prevent them.</p>
<p><strong>Fitness:</strong> Whether it’s better endurance, weight loss, or looking better at the beach, the same techniques we use to sculpt the physiques of pros can work for you.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">A great strategy for our Developmental athletes is to participate in group training 2-3 days per week and supplement with very targeted one-on-one performance coaching sessions. For our developmental athletes (6th grade through college) we offer private performance coaching sessions in conjunction with our Performance Memberships.</p>
